2020 February Meeting

President Vivian Mosley called the meeting to order at 7:05
The Treasurer’s report was given and explained by Harley Seifert. Karen Thornton discussed the Scholarship Show. Announced drop off dates, show dates and that we will be accepting work digitally this year.  The open reception and Scholarship show will be at the May meeting. 

The Artists pages on the website are receiving a good amount of traffic.  If you would like an Artist Page on the TCAG website, see Vivian. 

Vivian also announced that a lot of surveys have not been returned. Please get those in, we need your input to make this guild great! 

Announced that the April 21st meeting will be at McDonald Niklaus Framing at 6:30.  

Prints were passed around and suppliers and prices were discussed. Everyone enjoyed the refreshment provided by Jody Rohr.

We then split into groups for Creative Stations, which included pastels, color pencils, graphite, & watercolors. 

The mission of the Tuscarawas County Art Guild is to promote active participation in the arts and connect them to the community. To encourage, promote, inspire and cultivate local artists with meetings, exhibits and events. To embrace all art forms.

2020 January Meeting


 TCAG members braved the cold Tuesday Jan. 21 for the 1st meeting of the 2020 year. The Art Guild welcomed the new board members:   Vivian Mosley; President, Joe Willis; Vice President, Jane Hazell; Secretary. Harley Sefert remains as Treasurer and Karen Thorton remains as Scholarship Chairperson, William Koch will serve as Show chairperson. A lifetime membership was awarded to Jane Gartrell for her 20 years serving as the TCAG secretary. She retired to focus on her art. Thank you Jane!

Show & Tell & a presentation on Sublimation!

Members brought in current or recent work to show the group.  There were varied artworks shown from acrylic, oil and pastel painting to woodcarving, handcrafted jewelry and more. The Tuscarawas Valley has a lot of talent!  Here are a few of the pieces shown last night
